Rwenzori mountainThe Rwenzori Mountain range, also know the mountains of the moon lie in western Uganda along the Uganda-DR.Congo border. At its peak, they tower 5,109m above sea level making them third highest in Africa. The peak of the mountain is snow capped. Mount Rwenzori national park was gazetted in 1991.

+ British explorer Henry Stanley recorded the name “Rwenzori” in May 1888. It is said that Ruwenzori meant Rain Maker
